Steve Marso - Owner

A veteran of minor league baseball, Steve Marso, after looking at various leagues and cities, and after a fantastic visit to Alton with City Leaders, Steve purchased the expansion Alton River Dragons in the Prospect League in January of 2020.

Steve brings 25 years of experience in minor league sports, starting at the young age of 17 years old working concessions for the St. Paul Saints Baseball club in Minnesota.   Also, he has overseen operations for over 10 minor league baseball teams, as well as owning the Waterloo Bucks baseball club for 11 years.

He also operates E & G Management and Consulting, which provides management and consulting services to sports and entertainment entities around the country.

Dallas Martz - General Manager

Dallas was named the River Dragons first General Manager in August of 2020.  He brings 30 years of marketing and promotional experience to the front office.  Dallas spent two years as the radio play-by-play voice for the University of Northern Iowa Baseball program, one season as the play-by-play voice of the Derby Twins (Jayhawk League). 

Dallas, a native of Indianapolis, IN, grew up in Houston, TX, before spending the past 25 years in Iowa.  Dallas has two adult daughters Allison and Emily.

Scott Montesano - Play-by-Play

Scott joins the River Dragons with nearly 20 years of sports broadcasting experience including 12 seasons calling professional and summer-collegiate league baseball.
 
A native of Utica, NY Scott currently resides in Eau Claire, WI where he serves as the broadcaster for University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire Athletics as well as the Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League.  Previous stops include calling professional baseball in Traverse City, MI and summer-college baseball in Waterloo, IA; Eau Claire, WI; Montpelier, VT; Sanford, ME and Rome, NY.
